Mönchengladbach-based lubricant specialist Rhenus Lub has agreed a partnership with one of Denmark’s major energy companies. With immediate effect, OK a.m.b.a., which is headquartered in Viby, Denmark, will act as a distribution partner of Rhenus Lub GmbH & Co KG, selling the lubricant specialist’s branded products in Denmark. The company has one of the largest and most efficient distribution networks in the country and is adding Rhenus Lub high-performance coolants to its own product portfolio. OK is long established and ideally positioned as a supplier of energy and petroleum products to the metalworking industry. Dr Max Reiners, owner of Rhenus Lub, commented on the recently signed cooperation agreement: “Working together with our new Danish premium partner will allow us to develop our Danish market share.”
Rhenus Lub’s new distribution partner employs almost 400 staff in Denmark and achieves an annual turnover of approximately 800 million euro. Dr Max Reiners: “OK sees fluids for metal working and processing as a strategically important market and wants to continue to grow with our branded products.”
Rhenus Lub will also train sales staff from OK in Mönchengladbach. This training will also cover using amine and boron-free products in demanding machining operations in individual machines or machining centres. The Danish distribution partner will also discover how using rhenus lubrineering can achieve sustainable optimisation effects. With rhenus lubrineering, key operating indicators are established on the basis of a detailed process analysis related to the use of fluids, which enable long-term and stable savings on the costs of coolants or the tools used.
